installed latest firmware update to XMC-2 , after sometime the front panel reads still in progress, positive update completely downloaded and update

Many variations on problems installing the firmware and booting afterward. Two simple suggestions: If you ever have trouble installing firmware, try a different USB stick; if startup stalls after the firmware install or any other time ... turn off the rear switch, unplug the power cord for several minutes, unplug all HDMI connections ... then plug it in power and give it time to fully boot before connecting HDMI again. In general it seems best to leave it in "Video Always On" mode.
