Impulse Response Calculation Method

I was interested in just how REW calculated Impulse-Response. As a result of a general Bing-search I found a post apparently from this forum; as I recall it had something to do with the FFT of the measurement and the sweep. Unfortunately I did not save that post, nor have I been able to find it again.

Can someone either describe the REW Impulse-Response calculation method, or post a link to the original thread.

See Transfer function measurement with sweeps, section 1.8 Non periodic sweeps. In essence the impulse response is the inverse FFT of the FFT of the measurement divided by the FFT of the stimulus. There are other related publications on the REW site in the Reference material section at the bottom of the home page.

Thanks for the response; you description is similar to the explanation I originally found. However, the link provided is not the link I found, but I will review it. I have searched the REW site forum, and while there are numerous link describing the performance of Impulse responses, I still have not found the original description of the impulse calculation method.
