(March 2, 2026) iBasso Audio has unveiled its latest flagship digital audio player, the DX340, landing as a portable source built around modular hardware, dual operating systems, and a newly introduced limited edition titanium finish. Designed for enthusiasts who want reference-level performance in transportable form, the DX340 blends high-end digital architecture with a clear upgrade path through interchangeable amplification and expandable storage.
At the heart of the DX340 is a 1-bit discrete DAC configuration controlled by iBasso’s FPGA Master 3.0 system. The company says this approach delivers extremely low distortion and precise timing, with performance intended to rival larger desktop systems. The player supports high-resolution audio formats up to 32-bit 768 kHz PCM and native DSD512, giving it broad compatibility across modern file libraries and high-resolution streaming sources.
One of the DX340's defining features is a dual operating system design. Users can boot into Mango OS, an audio-focused environment designed to provide the most direct playback path, or switch to a full Android 13 platform for access to streaming apps and wireless connectivity. Those interfaces are anchored by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. That storage is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card slot. Connections include single-ended headphone outputs, a coaxial output, USB OTG support, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
Amplification within the player is swappable. The standard AMP15 module that ships with the unit is designed to deliver high output, low noise power capable of driving a range of headphones from sensitive in-ear monitors to full-size over-ear designs. Other options include the AMP1X series as well as AMP12, AMP13, and AMP14 modules, with additional AMP1X variants planned for future release.
Physically, the DX340 is housed in a stainless steel chassis, carries a 6” AMOLED touch display, and weighs 486 grams. Internally, its dual-battery architecture separates power delivery for the digital and analog stages, offering isolation that, theoretically, should reduce electromagnetic interference from the digital section. The player is rated for up to 11 hours of continuous playback, and when connected to a sufficiently powerful fast charging source, it operates from its internal battery rather than directly from the external supply.
The DX340 is available now in the UK at £1499 through Advanced MP3 Players, with a limited edition titanium version priced at £1899. US pricing is set at $1699 for the standard model.
