I just want to say hello. I just happened upon this forum, and found it a warm place. I've been and still am a pro musician for a good 40+ years, although I'm not doing it professionally right now. When I saw the REW software on my desktop, I went ahead and ended up here. I was actually sort of cleaning up some programs on my computer. I was looking for a good equalizer and music enhancement program just so I can listen to my own projects (you know, like stuff that I play on my my lounge lizard..my rhodes sounding keyboard). Well I ended up here and I'm just blown away. All's I can say is wow. If anyone knows of an open source music enhancement piece of software that I can use to listen through my headphones and my smart tv, I'm pretty sure that I can find the best answer I can get here. I have the vsl player and the pot player, and I think that the pot player is really good. I was looking for a eq that..I don't want to ask for too much..but if it can include effects and stuff..I will have died and went to Heaven. Well anyway..hello hello everyone..so glad I found this forum. Thank you very much admins for allowing me here. I do have another question, and I hope that it's not importunate. Does anyone know of any ideas where I can earn a few dollars producing music for people. I figure I'd ask..'cause I can clearly see that there are plenty of people here that know a lot of things that I don't know.

Hey Johnny! Welcome!
You have questions... hopefully you’ll find answers! For specific questions, look through the forum sections and post them in the most closely matched categories.

best, todd

Thank you Todd and thank you for welcoming me. This forum is unbelievable. There's a lot of people here that know a lot.

Verily, Johnny

Welcome, from another former professional musician. Now I just buy a lot of gear. Old habits die hard.

Glad to have you with us Johnny... and now you know the hillbilly of the bunch that doesn't know very much... especially when it comes to producing music. I can't even whistle a good tune.

Welcome to Nirvana Johnny! :T

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. Perhaps I could anticipatingly ask you this without bequeathing nebulous considerations. Pretty much the question being, what part of the forums would I post to ask if anyone has any ideas where I could offer music making services. I just wouldn't want to post it in the wrong forum..with the possibility of being off-topic.
