Help us name our place...

We are looking into adding a gate at our driveway entrance with an archway over the top. We really don't want our name on the sign. Living on Cedar Creek Road, we thought maybe something with "Cedar Creek" in the name would be appropriate, but we are having a hard time coming up with something we really like. We have 63 acres, our home, a cabin down on the pond, and lots of wildlife (deer, turkey, birds, etc). There are a few cows and horses on our property, but they are not ours.

Some of the names that have rolled out but are just not crazy about...

Cedar Creek Ranch - we don't have what I think of as a ranch here. No cowboys... just an old hillbilly. Not that much land... I think Yellowstone when I think ranch... I think bigger than what we have.
Cedar Creek Farm - while we have called this "the farm" many years ago, it was when all the fields around here were planted with crop. We don't really consider it a farm any longer because we do not farm.
Cedar Creek Estate - too fancy.
Cedar Creek Manor - reminds me of a nursing home, which might be appropriate, but not ready to go there yet.
Cedar Creek Crib - not gonna happen.
Cedar Creek Retreat - too much like a camp.
Cedar Creek Haven - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Oasis - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Estate - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Place - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Villa - latin... ehhh.
Cedar Creek Cogo - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Homestead - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Chateau - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Bungalow - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Vista - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Casa - Italian for home surrounded by land... ehhh.
Cedar Creek Crossing - ehhh.
Cedar Creek Acres - ehhh.

"ehhh"... means possibly... maybe.

Tough decision... open to ideas.

When driving up to the place, when you read the sign, your mind will go to a happy place where you can go to getaway from the "busy life" and can always reference it as "the retreat", code name for the place in discussions when you don't want others to know.

Well... that was one I forgot to list that we've already considered. Retreat in this area is more like a place for kids to go for a week or two ... like a camp, so to speak.

That's one we considered as well, but I failed to list it.

Now ... after days of deliberating over Cedar Creek being in the name... Angie wants to go back to Parker Ranch. It's really not a ranch in the grand scheme of things, but my brother has called it Parker Ranch for years now. She is now thinking PARKER PARADISE RANCH ... in big letters, then down below it in smaller letters, Knight Family Farm EST 1950? Not sure about the date. I'll have to go to the courthouse and see when Papa Knight purchased the property.

Well... it's probably best you don't turn down our driveway unless you know us. Just ask the others who did. Oh wait... you can't ask them.

My wife has pretty much settled on PARKER RANCH ON CEDAR CREEK, despite it not being the true meaning of a full blown ranch.
