I have an idea, and was wondering if anyone has thought of this or if it is possible.

For our HTs we have acoustically transparent screens, why not weave a see through material to a acoustically transparent cloth for grills? I am going to be painting my horns and would love to have them nude, but dust is a major problem in our area in Mexico.

Google is your frenemy... "see through acoustically transparent speaker grill cloth"

Are you saying you want a speaker grill for the protection, but want to be able to see through it like it isn't there in the first place? You'd get the best of both worlds, nice thinking! I googled it like @ddude003 suggested but I didn't see any visually transparent, only acoustically. That's a cool idea if you can make it work.

Exactly...the closest thing I could find is a cotton fabric used for transparent clothing...not sure how AT it is.

You might also look into transparent silk material(s)... Every material, including OEM Speaker Grills, attenuate the sound mostly in the high frequency range by varying amounts...
