Greetings from Central Valley CA!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Gustavo. I moved to the Central Valley CA in 2001. To be more specific, I live in Visalia, CA, where the temperature gets 115 degrees during summer time! It is pretty difficult to find any decent home theater system in my area. So, I've got to rely on the internet for such things. This is my 4th HT set up. I used to change HT equipment yearly, but after having 3 kids and one on the way, HT equipment has been put on hold. Furthermore, I've been getting into woodworking and that's expensive as well.

My current set up:
AVR: Denon X4200
Amplifier: Emotiva LPA-1
Speakers: L/R Chane A5rx-c, Center Chane A2rx-c and surrounds Cambridge Minx 21
Subwoofer: Power Sound Audio PSA-XV15

2 Channel set up:
Patio: Denon HEOS Link
Amp: Still looking for a two channel amp
Speakers: Polk Audio Atrium 5

Garage:
Bluesound PowerNode G1
Speakers: Pioneer SP-BS22

Bluesound is going to go on sale pretty soon. It's an excellent sounding unit, but my wife uses Pandora and Amazon Music, and she doesn't like Spotify interface. For some reason or another Bluesound doesn't support Pandora or Amazon Music yet. So, I'll probably sell it and get a Denon HEOS Amp or Sonos Connect Amp.

I hate to imagine four of me eating when I was a kid. Luckily for me none of my kids have my eating habits.

You should build a home theater thread... talk about your journey and the kind of equipment you've had in the past. I'm sure you have a lot of knowledge to share. Would be a great read.

Thank you for the idea. I will do that in the near future. I've learned a lot specially after buying our first old home....don't get me started talking about that lol. That's how I started getting into woodworking.

I hate to imagine four of me eating when I was a kid. Luckily for me none of my kids have my eating habits.

My kids are 11 yrs old, 8 yrs old and 3 yrs old. The 3 yr old eats just as much if not more than the older ones. I don't know how he stays so skinny either! He's like a duck....eat...poop lol

I heard about this site at the Chane Forum. The Chane Forum is pretty dead though. I'm a member at the AVS Forum, Polk Audio Forum, Emotiva Forum, Audioholic Forum, and here now.
