(October 27, 2025) GIK Acoustics recently introduced Amplitude, a new line of acoustic treatment panels that blend technical precision with contemporary design. For a company long regarded as an industry favorite, the launch marks both an evolution in engineering and a step toward visual refinement, pulling professional acoustic control out of the studio and into design-forward living and listening spaces.

At its core, the Amplitude line represents a complete rethinking of how acoustic panels can look and perform. The series replaces GIK’s long-running Alpha and Impression collections, combining years of customer feedback and design development into one streamlined family of products. The highlight is GIK’s patented recessed plate technology, which allows each panel’s diffuser plate to sit flush within the frame. The result is a crisp, architectural look that brings cleaner lines and a more integrated presence to studio walls and home environments alike.

The Amplitude Acoustic Panel serves as the foundational model, combining broadband absorption and diffusion in a slim, versatile format starting at $79. For rooms where low-frequency buildup can cloud detail, GIK introduces Amplitude Bass Trap Panels, designed to target the sub-100Hz range with improved precision. These start at $119. And completing the lineup are Amplitude Corner Bass Traps, broadband corner absorbers that enhance control in areas most prone to bass resonance, starting at $209.

Each piece is crafted with attention to both material quality and acoustic transparency. The panels are finished in premium Camira fabrics, known throughout the architectural and studio industries for their sonic neutrality and durability. Camira textiles are offered in 20 colors, paired with 12 patterns and five wood finishes, including Beech, Walnut, Grey Elm, Black, and White. A variety of panel and corner sizes allows the system to adapt to recording studios, control rooms, theaters, and residential listening spaces.

David Shevyn, Chief Product Officer at GIK Acoustics, says the goal was to merge twenty years of acoustic experience with modern design sensibility. “Our mission with Amplitude was to take everything we’ve learned over the past two decades and push panel design forward,” Shevyn explained. “The recessed plate is not just an aesthetic choice; it also improves the acoustic behavior of the panel significantly. The result is panels that look striking, but more importantly, give creators and listeners a room they can trust.”
