Getting loop back timing to work

I trying to setup a rig for ongoing speaker testing & don’t want to perform a seperate timing reference each time. I have a couple of usb audio interfaces (with balanced outputs that I need) which I have tried to setup using a Umik-1. No issue outputting a test signal & performing measurements, but I can’t get the loopback to work as a timing reference on either device. I am obviously missing something obvious. Could someone point me in the right direction or thread or guide where this has already been deal with.

Thanks

You can't use a loopback with a USB mic as the mic doesn't have an input for the loopback connection. Using two different input devices won't work as operating systems do not provide any synchronisation between devices.

Thanks. Thought that might be the case, I just couldn’t find it stated anywhere. I’ll use another mic. Was trying to avoid that, as I’ll need to generate a cal file for it.
