Generator output

Hello, with the many fixes to REW I noticed that in the past opening the program:

The tone generator I set the output to [Default Output and L+R], I would stay set.

Now every time I launch REW the generator output reverts to [Speaker and L].

I have fixed that for the next build, but why use Default output rather than the actual output? When Default output is selected REW may not be able to determine the correct output channel count.

Hello John, thanks for the reply, Using the generator on my PC in goes to a USB connected UCA-222 and then to my Stereos preamp via RCA cables. I have never used the PCs speakers. I always want both channels to have the same tone ie [L+R].

I did just try try the generator and the outcome is the same when setting it to Speaker or Default Output. In my mind I was sending the signal to where I was using it. thanks...chris

'Speaker' is just the name of that output on that device. On Windows it is a common name for audio outputs.
