REW aims to be usable for audio device measurement as well, but the current function has improvements for record player measurement. In current record player measurements, the test record is played back and the frequency response is measured using the SPL Logging function. In this case, the x-axis of the graph is the elapsed time, so the frequency plot needs to rewrite the x-axis by hand. In addition, since vertical auxiliary lines are cut by time, they cannot be rewritten. As a solution to this problem, it is possible to add a function to draw the X-axis with frequency to the function of SPL Logging. As a result, the scope of application of REW will be expanded, and I think it will become the de facto software for measuring record players. Specialized software for measuring record players, called analogmagik, comes with a test record and sells for $1,100.
