Hi John

Again thank you for fantastic software and support through so many years.

REW is now a very advanced tool, and can do so many different things, its pretty daunting to use, for new users. It will be very easy for new users to make mistakes along the way, never achieving what they are trying to do and would likely need to read a large amount of documentation and papers in general, to really learn what is going on. Many will not have that option.

Why not let more advanced users of REW create step-by-step wizard guides, in REW, to guide new users through some of the most common procedure steps? To ensure that people actually get from A-B. The input could likely be something like a json or yml file, containing which UI part should be activated by REW (Settings window, measurement window, distortion tab, etc.), when users launch that exact wizard guide and press "next step". The file would also contain the text for each step. Advanced users could create this file purely based on the REW documentation (which would include how to create this file and what tags would correspond to which UI elements, and themselves try it out, before submitting it either for inclusion directly in REW (f you like that), or to a common shared repository (or this support forum), for new users to download.

For instance, REW can linearize speakers drivers, but to do so, requires many many steps, and its easy to get lost during the procedure (even if you follow written guides or videos).

I do not know if this is a goal for REW to be used in this way in general or if the code allows such a module to be easily implemented.

Kind regards
Michael
