export then re-import impulse response as txt

For nefarious reasons, I want to export an impulse response from REW as .txt, import it into a spreadsheet for modifications (which requires .txt), then take that modified IR back into REW. After struggling with that for a while, I simply exported an IR from REW and then immediately attempted to import that IR file back into REW, without any changes. I got the import impulse data error message. The file is attached. Any ideas why REW is rejecting it or what I can do to work around the issue?

Which REW version are you using and what error message did you get?

Re-importing impulse responses that had been exported as text was not added until 5.20 beta 10, so try a later version. The response has some strange quantisation artefacts, by the way.

oops, check for updates on started got unchecked because I get emails but then I needed to unpin the old rew from my taskbar and put the new one there

thanks for that, new it had to be something simple
