in short: individual max boost react as a boost threshold and overall max boost is max amount of boost a dipin db
if individual max boost is lower as a dip db then it do nothing.

with individual boost 5 db the 68 hz dip and others at higher frequency is not boost and no filter is create at this frequency

with individual boost 12 db the 68 hz dip and others at higher frequency are boost full

If you want all dips boost only a little then set induvidial boost to highest (12 db) and overall max boost to the db you want boost. I use 4 db in this screenshot see, the results. boost not the full dip sound much better as boost nothing or the full dip. I use 4db and get better EQ results
