I am trying to flatten in room response of a prototype line array built from very small drivers using REW and eqAPO using REW's "Match Response to target" and "Export filter settings as text".

I manually added an 80Hz LR8 HP, and I also added an 18.5kHz LR8 LP to filter a resonance that the drivers have up there.

The basic equalization works impressively well, but eqAPO "ignores" the 2 LR8 filters.

How can I make this work?

Supporting the crossover filter choices would be something for eqAPO to implement, but you can emulate them using a series of LPQ/HPQ filters. The Q values to use are in the help.

Thank you for the direct Link, John!

Unfortunately equalizing the driver's frequency response already consumed all the 20 Filters that REW offers. Can I simply generate a 2nd set manually, using the specified Q values, to be included in eqAPO?

Yes, that's what I'm suggesting, though you can simply set up 4 biquads in eqAPO using the Q values in the help to implement the LR8 crossover you want.

Unfortunately, in the meantime eqAPO ignores all sorts of commands, so I try to reduce their number.

I tried hand-EQing my speakers, and had almost 40 EQ settings for each speaker, and all worked.

However, I -export text- EQ (for each speaker). I then have a text file in the same folder as eqAPO's config file (C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config).

In the config file, I have a "# Include: My_eq_file.txt" line. This will show in eqAPO's GUI as a single-line option you can enable or disable.

The My_eq_file.txt contents are similar to this:
----------
Preamp: -5.3 dB

# kill extremes:
Filter: ON HP Fc 10 Hz
Filter: ON LP Fc 19000 Hz

Channel: L
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 23.50 Hz Gain 6.00 dB Q 2.100
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 33.35 Hz Gain -14.10 dB Q 15.000
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 51.50 Hz Gain 3.80 dB Q 6.000

Channel: R
Filter 1: ON PK Fc 23.90 Hz Gain 6.00 dB Q 2.000
Filter 2: ON PK Fc 32.00 Hz Gain -7.70 dB Q 4.700
Filter 3: ON PK Fc 39.90 Hz Gain 3.30 dB Q 10.000
