It's been awhile since there's been any news from them regarding new projectors. I ran into this today.

The Epson Demo Room headlines with a Global Launch, being the first ever showing of the company’s newest Home Cinema Projector. We can’t share details here but EI Live! 2021 visitors will be the first integrators in the world to see the new product that will set a new benchmark of performance at its price. Room-filling, detailed sound is provided by Definitive Technology while new TV innovations flank the outside walls with LG and Panasonic bringing their latest products to the show.

The rumors I have heard are a laser based light source with lots of lumens to spare. So typical of Epson - a cheaper, brighter alternative to the very expensive alternatives. Maybe the blacks will get a slight improvement too. :justdontknow:

Hmmm... I moved on to JVC, but if there is money to be saved, I could be persuaded... provide the picture is as good. This NX9 is incredible.

I believe we should be hearing more this Wednesday. I doubt Epson will be matching the JVC NX9 class of projector though. I'd guess they'll stay in their lane - affordable for most everyone. But who knows? Rumors have been non-existent.

No new Epson projectors for North America in 2021 I guess - supply chain issue is what I saw over at AVS. :foottap:

Europe, however, will get two new Epson 4K Laser projectors - the EH-LS11000W and the EH-LS12000B - in late fall. They feature HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K@120Hz gaming, 2,500,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, true 4K (no shifting from what i can see) and more. The EH-LS12000B boasts an extra 200 lumens - 2700 compared to the LS11000W’s 2500.

Wonder if the black comes with a replacement laser engine?
