(October 3, 2019) Dynaudio recently debuted its Sub RCC (Reaction Cancelling Configuration) custom-install subwoofer. Designed to complement the company’s newly launched Performance and established Studio lineups, the Sub RCC can be incorporated into 2.1 and multi-channel speaker configurations.

Drawing upon the needs of custom integrators, the Sub RCC can be discreetly installed in a wall, ceiling, or floor, without the need for a backbox. Vibration transmission is limited through the use of two sets of opposing drivers, which work in concert to focus acoustic energy into a room, while the sub’s extruded aluminum enclosure provides rigid, low resonance, performance. Installation can be achieved in any standard 2” x 4” stud-bay in both old and new work applications.

The Sub RCC is a passive design capable of performing down to an impressive 16Hz. Dynaudio says that AudioControl’s RS 500 DSP-controlled amplifier is the perfect mate for the sub. This particular unit can drive up to two Sub RCCs and is “precisely matched and tuned out of the box.” Installers will appreciate the amp’s “Dynaudio EQs and limiters.”
