Recently in the news, there was a report on a study that revealed that people should not wear their shoes that they wore outside, inside their house since those worn shoes carry lots of germs.

Personally, I like to take my shoes off when entering my house. Also, when I visit people, I tend to take my shoes off as well.

What about you guys?

We don't don't do it as often as we should. It's basically if our shoes are really nasty and we don't want to track in dirt/mud.

Some germs are good for us though... at least that what "they" say.

What about the bottom of women's purses? Where have they been? On floors in restaurants, on floors at home, at work, in vehicles... what about in the grocery cart area that holds the baby with the poopie and wet diaper that leaks. eckkk... and I see women pull them off the floor and put them in their lap looking for stuff. I seem them sitting on kitchen tables. The bottom of a purse is as bad as the bottom of our shoes.

You make a good point Sonnie. Dirt/germs are everywhere.. I guess we can't sanity wipe everything and become so compulsive that we are "afraid" of germs. lol.

We can make small changes to help reduce the germ count since we can't eliminate it.

I take my shoes off almost all the time. Not for germ phobia but to keep the house as clean as I can, not tracking dirt. I guess If your worried about germs you wouldn't own dogs or lock them in like prisoners. I have two dogs and they are free to come and go outside at will. They never take thier shoes off, in fact they go out barefoot and come back barefoot. :gah:

If you have carpet, it is best to take the shoes off. Much harder to keep clean that is for sure. :)
