Dish Network Hopper 3 is compatible with Alexa. If you have a Echo Dot v2 or Amazon Echo you can pair it with your Alexa app. for voice control. The key is that the dish device must be setup on your network.

- Open the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone and press the menu icon in the top left corner. From here, select "Music, Video, & Books."
- Select DISH
- Select ENABLE SKILL at the bottom of the screen
- Press the MENU button on your DISH remote.
Note: The following steps must be done on a Hopper or Wally. If you have a Wired Joey, Wireless Joey, 4K Joey, or Super Joey, go to the room with the Hopper or Wally before continuing.
- Select Settings
- Select Amazon Alexa
- Select Get Code
- Enter the code shown on the screen into the Alexa app when prompted, then select Activate
- Select Done on the receiver, and click Continue in the Alexa App
- Select Done in the Alexa App
- Wait for Alexa to discover the DISH receiver. Select your Hopper or Wally receiver from the list and click Continue.
- Select the Amazon Alexa device you would like linked to this receiver and click Link Devices.
Your Hopper/Wally and Alexa-enabled device are now paired, and you can use voice commands to control your DISH viewing experience.
