Wired got an exclusive scoop on the new Playstation 5... here's a good summary:

Lots of interesting details, there. Once again, disc based! And 8K compatible.

I think there's a good chance I'll be buying one. My last Playstation purchase was a PS2... but kids and family and other hobbies have stolen time away from console gaming. BUT, my kids are super close to heading off to college. :nerd:

Shhh... don't tell my wife!

My PS4 is still going strong.. I will get the PS5 most likely once it is available. Have to think of ways to get the WAF. :)

It's nice to see Sony has kept the physical disc drive alive..I was worried discs in gaming would be dead for future consoles due to so much downloadable content via the STEAM platform.

I really miss the golden ages of buying physical cartridges/disc. Even the act of inserting the physical media to be played was fun : )

The funny thing is that once you buy the physical disc and insert, it will automatically want to download the latest updates. So, have to go online to get the game.. :)
