Priced at $649, the AVR-S770H 7.2-channel receiver offers owners access to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, along with both codecs' upmixing technologies, for a 5.1.2 immersive experience. Its amp section, rated at 75 watts per channel, should provide enough pep to drive reasonably efficient speakers in small to medium-sized rooms. The AVR-S670H ($549) strips away immersive sound performance, offering owners access to 5.1 speaker arrangements backed by the same amp performance found on the S770H.
Both AVRs ship with Audyssey's MultEQ room correction paired with a simple set-up guide to make room integration and optimization as simple as possible. They also carry HEOS Built-in for use with the other HEOS-enabled gear and the HEOS stream app for access to Spotify, Pandora, TIDAL, and more. Of course, they also offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth streaming along with Apple AirPlay, making wireless connectivity broadly accommodating.
Video processing allows for 8K/60 and 4K/120 pass-through. In addition, compatibility with advanced forms of High Dynamic Range like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision give the receivers the ability to handle the industry's most impressive video formats.
Both models are currently available for pre-order only through Denon and select retailers. For more information or to pre-order click on the models, here: AVR-S770H AVR and AVR-S670H AVR.
