Do we have any cyclists on here? I've been a cyclist since I was in the 90s, but had to give it a rest about 15 years ago when I broke my back in 2011. Thought I was over with for good so I sold my bikes and suffered through years of physical therapy. Now my phsycial therapist has been BEGGING me to get more movement, so I decided to gently get back into cycling.
turns out I'm healed enough that cycling is doing me WAY more good than harm and I'm back into the hobby with a vengeance (much to the chagrin of my wife sho started seeing my single "therapy bike" turn into a collection)
since I live in the north side of Marana (Tucson basically) we have a GIANT 131 mile bike path that covers literally all of Tucson (it's an amazing paved trail) that my neighborhood actually is on the edge of. Meanign I ride outside my neighborhood and dump directly onto the north trail head.
I initially restarted my journey with a Trek Verve 3 Gen 4 that I got for a steal for my wife. Turns out it was such a comfortable ride that I grabbed one for myself. And of course as we all know, you never just keep ONE bike. Next I added the new Trek FX Sport AL3 (the highest end with an aluminum frame as I didn't want the carbon fiber for a hybrid bike). but not before I got the Checkpoint AL5 to scratch that gravel bike itch (put some 30 mm tires on it to make it faster for longer endurance rides), and finally topped it off with a Trek Roscoe 7 so I could hit actual mountain bike trails.
sadly the addiction has hit me harder than I like and I'm now looking at a Specialized Roubeax or a Trek Domane for days when I want to just go full hardcore and FLY like the wind on the pathes...but that's a while out as the wife has been giving me the stink eye.
one last thing, those Willworx Superstand's are AMAZING for garage/house storage for bikes that can't (or you won't) install a kick stand. they make my garage super clean with nothing leaning or hanging anywhere
the latest acquisition was of course the new FX Sport AL3 in cobra blood red...picture below (not my bike personally, just using it for visual aid as its the exact some model and color, but my garage is dark as heck right now lol)
