The college games had some fans spread around the stands and the bands doing their thing. Almost normal.

The season FINALLY begins today... it's been too long.

Looking forward to seeing what the new Mississippi coaches (Lane and Mike) will be able to bring to the field their first year.

I think Clemson is going to be VERY hard to beat this year. No doubt they will wax thru their schedule with ease... not even sure they will be challenged.

I always underestimate them because of their schedule. I should forget what I think and just listen to the experts.

I'm not really surprised that LSU got beat, as they lost a ton of great players, not only to the NFL, but several opting out of this season.

I AM surprised that the Sooners let KSU come back and beat them after having the game somewhat under control.

The Tide is rolling thus far... hope we see Bryce Young the second half.

Bama looks mid-season crisp. Especially in contrast to the earlier games.

Glad to see Bama's second/third defensive guys get in the game in the second half, but sure wish they'd not give up those points... lol... greedy me.

I don't really know what to think about Bryce... had some good plays, then had some rookie flubby dubs.

Leach and the Bulldogs put up some massive pass yards and points... could be difficult to deal with for other SEC teams. Of course we all knew he would bring a serious passing attack with him... it's in his blood.

Touch and go through the 3rd. Kirby was as disappointed as I’ve ever seen him in a post game presser. Understandable. Bummer is that opens the door a little wider for Florida. I’m not not a gator fan. I do like Dan Mullen. Very conflicted.

@mechman do I remember correctly that you're a Golden Gophers fan? They're in there. Whats the local word on their upcoming season?

Notre Dame moved from 4 to 3. Obviously propelled by the outstanding win over Louisville. (Yes, this is sarcasm.) Maybe my thinking is tainted by the 2012 BCS championship game. That night I was introduced to George Bush only turn learn a couple minutes later he was an comedian impersonator. True story. And he was not the only impersonator that night. Roll Tide. I don't get any of the rankings really... they certainly haven't gotten much of any thing right this year, except maybe the top two teams.

I will go out on a limb and make a wild prediction... Clemson dirt stomps Notre Dame when they play. I know, I'm really reaching there, since ND is #3 in the nation. I am just so disrespectful. I apologize if I have offended anyone. But wait, that's really not an apology is it?

Yeah I’m a Gopher fan, as well as a Cyclone fan. To be honest, I’ve been fairly busy lately and haven’t paid much attention to what’s going on with either of them. I do know that the Cyclones beat Oklahoma at home a couple weeks back. But they also dropped their first game to Louisiana.

I think the Gophers needed those two offensive lineman and the kickers that were/are out. Neither of these two teams will make a run for any championship though.

And the Cyclones weren’t much better, scoring with less than a minute left to make it seem closer than it was.
