(January 5, 2022) XGIMI's latest effort is a sub-$2,500 4K Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector called Aura. Billed as an alternative to pricey TVs, Aura can fire off images up to 150" diagonal while only being inches away from a screen.

Aura's expansive screen size capabilities are backed by 4K performance, HDR10 High Dynamic Range compatibility, and a potent 2400 ANSI lumens of brightness. Much like other XGIMI projectors (like Halo, reviewed here), Aura features Android TV 10 functionality for delivery of major streaming services like Disney+, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Additionally, Built-in Chromecast adds seamless content casting and cross-device content syncing, while three HDMI ports can connect external devices like game consoles, cable boxes, and Blu-Ray players.

Sound quality is anchored by four built-in 15 Watt Harman-Kardon speakers complete with two tweeters and two woofers; audio enhancements include support for Dolby Audio.

Aura features XGIMI’s fast boot technology for quick and easy set-up procedures. Image quality is honed by eight-point keystone correction technology that makes focusing a breeze and hassle-free.

The Aura 4K UST Laser Projector is being showcased along with XGIMI's HORIZON, Elfin, and Halo, and MoGo series of projectors at Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth # 18861. For additional information, visit XGIMI’s website, or connect with them on Facebook.
