(September 29, 2023) Bowers & Wilkins is kicking off the weekend with the launch of a new finish for its flagship wireless headphone, the Px8 (Buy it on Amazon). Now available in a Royal Burgundy Nappa leather finish, complemented by refined gold detailing, the Px8 is priced $699. Other colors include Tan and Black Nappa. As of the time of press, the Tan version can be found at the discounted price of $519.

The British-based company says that all three Px8 models will continue to feature a single cast-aluminum arm structure that references Bowers & Wilkins’ signature design language, plus a diamond-cut bright edge on each elliptical logo plate. The earcups, memory foam cushions, and headband are all trimmed in Nappa leather, which adds an extra bit of visual appeal in addition to a soft feel for listeners. The headphone's sound is generated by 40mm Carbon Cone honed by the company's own flavor of DSP (Digital Signal Processing). To up the ante, owners reserve the ability to feed the Px8 24-bit high-resolution sound from streaming services that support that level of playback.

Bowers & Wilkins claims the Px8's performance exceeds that of its popular step-down Px7 S2 ($239 on Amazon) and Px7 S2e ($399 on Amazon) headphones, making it "the best sound quality Bowers & Wilkins has ever delivered from a pair of wireless headphones."
