Good news for prime members!
"Amazon (AMZN) is investing even more heavily in growing its position in the entertainment world. The company announced Wednesday that it made a deal to acquire MGM, the home of James Bond and one of the most iconic movie studios in Hollywood.
The deal, which is valued at $8.45 billion, gives Amazon an extensive library of film and TV shows that it can use to fill out its Prime Video content coffers. MGM has a catalog with more than 4,000 films and 17,000 TV shows, according to Mike Hopkins, who heads Prime Video and Amazon Studios."

Content is king... Tis the season for M&A... Anyone care to speculate on the next moves in this domain/market space?

Within the entertainment industry with streaming being the power base for quick revenue, I suspect we will see more Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)..

Yes, I agree with you that content is king and I am sure APPLE Plus and Disney Plus will do more M&A to get more content to draw in those viewers!

How about some worthy new content?

Sometimes I feel I spend more time looking for something to watch than actually watching something.

I agree with you in regards to original programming.

Although, I do see netflix as the leader of original content thou.. They have more new original programming than any other streaming channel.

Amen! I guess COVID got us behind on new stuff and new seasons of my favorites.

I have always wondered why Apple and Disney don't work together more... Steve Jobs was a founder of Pixar... And Pixar and Disney... Well, we all know what happened there... Apple and Nothing Real folks from Sony, Shake well and poof Final Cut...
