Hi all , having dabbled with REW and minidsp/dirac in an AV setup previously I thought Id come along and seek help to use REW to properly setup my home studio , My set up is slightly complex at the moment and having wasted a lot of time and money on the wrong software solution I remembered that REW could do a far better job so basics of the system = Mac tahoe 26.1 , audio interface = UA Apollo x8 & 8Quad currently run in a 2.1 config , I connect stereo balanced trs analogue out connects to Audient NERO main in monitor controller , I also take a mirrored digital spdif coaxial into a coaxial-Toslink convertor and connect digitally to minidsp 2x4HD which then sends an unbalanced RCA connection to Audient as aux in full range and two RCA outs to my XTZ 12.17 subs x2 after xover and peq the Audient then feeds out balanced connections to 3 pairs of monitors Focal trio 6 st , Genelec 8030c and a pair of Avantone mixcubes, Scratching my head to think what is the best way to get this system set up with properly aligned subs which at present are independent and fed by the 2x4hd of the full range signal so any help on this front will be greatly appreciated , thanks again for the add .Don

Hard to follow all that, but it seems to me that trying to time-align subs with three different sets if speakers is a hopeless cause. You'll have to pick one, and go with that.

Thanks for your kind words Wayne, yes it is a rather complex setup and difficult to explain , The plan would be to concentrate on my main monitor sub interaction first thats a pair of Focal trio6 ST 3 way their frequency response is 35hz-40k and a pair of XTZ 12.17 edge subs these go as low as 17hz both the subs and monitors are self powered with on board peq , Ive already gain matched the subs to 75 db and thats kinda as far as ive got , what is really confusing me here is that I have the minidsp 2x4HD I had planned to use this to control the subs by using REW but ive since found that even if I upgraded this to ddrc24 it only becomes a stereo dirac set up which is no good for me as I need to keep the subs independent of the monitors I am now left wondering is there a mini dsp device with balanced in and out and dirac live that has bass management or do I need to start considering using the dirac DAW plugin room correction plus bass management guess Ill need to email Dirac and see what they advise .

You might consider contacting Mitch Barnett @Mitchco of Accurate Sound to see if he has any suggestions... https://accuratesound.ca/ A multi-channel convolution solution might be the way to go... And I think that LUNA Pro supports VST3 plugins... Which the Hang Loose Convolver is VST3 and AU compatible...

Thanks Dude Ill have a look into that in the mean time ive sent off an email to Dirac to see if their system wide solution would work obviously If money were no object then it would be Trinnov for orders but thats way out of my budget at this point . Haha great name btw .
