HDMI in REW not showing as output device

Hello everyone I am new here and have had a passion for Home Theater & music all my life. I am not a computer nerd but I think I know a little bit more than most people my age but for I have for about 2 weeks have tried to get started using REW I was so excited, I can't even get past connecting my Processor as output device. I have a Yamaha CXA-5200 I bought the Umik1, I have no problem connecting my Umik 1 as input on asio4all but when I have connected my Hdmi to my laptop & Processor the only thing that shows up as output device in WDM device list is either Realtek HD Audio Output with SST or Intel(R) Display Audio. I have gone through every setting in audio on laptop I can think of I went into device manger and disabled SST OED then I get nothing showing up. Please if someone has any Ideas I would love to get started taking measurements.

Hmmm, I thought Intel Display Audio was the HDMI connection. Been a long while since I’ve used ASIO, though.

The Java drivers starting with EXCL have been 100% reliable for me. See REW Help for more details on using these drivers.

Thanks for your reply, yes I was reading about the difference between asio and Java for some reason all of the you tube videos seem to use asio4all I thought it would be better for multi channel. I have been reading a considerable amount on the REW help page. Thank You very much appreciate the knowledge.

examples, something you had asked about in another thread.

I'm not an REW expert, I leave that to others who are. But I have been using it off and on for several years. I saved links to the posts that helped me transition from the previous REW version to the current, so I thought these would help you as well. With persistence you'll get this figured out.

The above quotes helped another user get setup for multi channel (see this thread). As I mention above, ASIO was used with older versions of REW and the videos you saw were probably made at that time. The Java driver should be used with the latest REW versions, and hopefully you'll see your output device listed prefaced by "EXCL".
