Hi I am trying to time align my subwoofer to my mains. I have a 5.1 setup with a minidsp. The subs are already time aligned to each other.

When I try to measure the response of the subwoofer or the fronts by changing the crossovers in the Onkyo NR7100 AVR, I get the same graph for each speaker or sub each time regardless of XOver change in the AVR. The graph with crossovers from 60hz to 150hz is the same in Java EXL mode. I tried ASIO, but it doesn't work for me. I get a lot of wierd static using it. Wonder does the JAVA EXL mode respect crossovers? or does it just send the full signal to each speaker?

Thanks in advance for your help!

REW can only send the signal to the channel you specify. It’s only downstream on a different device that an XO is applied.
EXCL drivers should bypass any audio processing on the computer running REW. That leaves only the Onkyo to look to for what you’re seeing.

If you need absolute proof it’s not REW, you could use REW’s functionality to record a measurement file for play back on another device and then recording the playback with REW.

Easier might be a pink noise YouTube file that could be measured with REW’s RTA.

Thanks. Figured it out. Even on Java Exlusive mode, the Reciever sends the signal to subs when picking any speaker. So I have to turn off the subs to get speakers only readings. When you send the signal to LFE, it does not send anything to speakers as teh signal dies out after ~250hz.
