In another forum I was working with an individual who is using the center channel for the acoustic timing reference. He was asked to measure the sub only for the left channel. He disconnected his left speaker and ran a full range sweep to 20khz. Surprisingly, the sub only sweep showed response...
REW version is 5.20.13
Here are my settings. I've also attached my .mdat file. Opening the EQU tab on the first chart shows I had the full range of equalization bands from my previous release. If I click on "Match Response to Target" I only get 3 equalization bands.
With the prior release, my SPL response fed to EQU produced all 10 bands of equalization. With the new release, I can't get it to generate more than the bands. Is there a new setting that I've overlooked?
Thanks. Could you take a look at my follow-up thread? I assumed I could modify the sensitivity figure, but I'm not sure what to do about the clipping I describe in my follow-up thread.
I figured I would try a different tact with this thread.
I've noticed there are some number of REW users who deploy the Omnimic V2 and I was hoping to get some guidance on how to dial in the one I just purchased.
I was finally able to get REW to recognize my new microphone and I took some...
I finally got it working. I'm not sure what I did to get it working. Usually if I pay with it long enough....
The microphone is reading about 15db too high. Is there anything in REW that I would be able to do to make it right?
Windows sees my OmniMIc and the OmniMic software recognizes it. I can generate various tones and sweeps from my OmniMic software and the microphone produces the pretty graphs. Unfortunately, I see no way to individually send sound to the different channels and LFE so I figured I would use REW...
I found the OmniMic software to be sorely lacking and was hoping to simply plug the OmniMic I just purchased into REW. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get REW to recognize the OmniMic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Activate REW acoustic reference for your measurements to see the MLP delay for your right and left speakers. I'm betting you will find they aren't the same. Adjust AVR speaker distance so they both match.
Thanks for your response. Given that I use REW several times a day to review previous measurement sessions, I will simply keep the JAVA option. On those occasions when I do perform a measurement session, I can switch to ASIO for those sessions.
Not sure what I can provide you. I just double clicked on the REW desktop Icon. It took about 5 seconds to bring up the welcome screen. It took another 30 seconds before REW allowed me to do anything. Task manager showed about 2% to 3% CPU usage and 160mb of memory during that 30 second time...
I have the latest release and have close to 100 files in my REW folder.
I've noticed increased delays between the time REW comes up and is useable (able to click on file and get a response). Also, once I've selected a file for use, REW seems to work in slow motion for large files with 28...
