Hello,
I have been working with the REW Waterfall view recently, and have a few questions / requests.

1. Perspective. Can the perspective angle be set for more of an "isometric" or "constant perspective" type of view? I set for X=15, however perspective angle is not constant so the view angle is a bit skewed depending on the frequency being viewed.

Example:

I would like to reproduce a chart that looks more like this, where all the data is presented at the same angle.

2. Frequency limits. The frequency limits are set for the front of the "box", when it really should be adjusting the view so that the entire frequency range is in view at both the front and rear slice.

Example, I set perspective angle at 30 degrees (or whatever X=30 in the perspective setting represents), and set frequency limits from 200-20,000Hz. 20kHz is only visible in the very front slice in this view, I have to adjust for ~36kHz to view 20kHz at t=0.

3. For the cursor, can a line be drawn from the front to the back to provide a better ability to pinpoint the chart in 3D space. Like this:

Thanks!

What OS are you running? The waterfall has a cursor overlay except on some Linux runtimes which do not support the required composite.

There isn't a way to disable the depth perspective. If there were it would only make the frequency range issue worse and create an odd optical illusion that the back of the graph is larger than the front.

You can export the data to use some other plotting routine.

That must me it, I am viewing this information using the AMD64 Linux build. The vertical line is better for frequency determination, but still can be difficult to determine amplitude for a slice in the middle of the plot.

I am able to export the impulse response as WAV and view in ARTA, so I can use that for the style of view I am after (ARTA also has its limitations). I was just hoping to use REW for this.
