That makes sense. Can windowing be used for nearfield and would that solve my problem.
I’m trying to closely align some drivers as best I can for phase cancellation. The better I can match them while “in air” the better the crosstalk cancelation will be
WOW!!! This repeated measurement feature just saved me a ton of time. 6 subs, 2 mains, 3 positions... 24 measurements went about 3 times as quick. Huge quality of life improvement!
Is it possible to have a small delay for the MMM measurement so I can start “rotating” it before it starts measuring?
Also, is it possible to have it automatically stop at a predetermined number (100 for example).
I want to measure a speaker from 2m away from 500Hz to 5000Hz. What’s the best FDW setting I can use to negate reflections?
Also, should I measure full range and set FDW or should I just measure a bit before 500Hz and a bit after 5000hz?
I wish I could download those plans. I get an error on the website. I recently joined a "makerspace". I have unlimited access to 3d printers, plasma cutters, and huge CNC machines (plus a tutor).
it does look like absorption is visually better :)
The nice thing is that it's very clear the impact. I'm curious, via the ETC is it possible to see which is the offending frequency? For example, maybe the diffuser didn't go low enough? If it were (hypothetically) deeper that it would have...
What's the best way to A/B test acoustic treatments? It's so difficult to listen to them even close to back to back. Would getting a binaural mic and recording songs playing work. It would still be subjective but perhaps would provide some value?
I think REW would help but I'm not sure how...
Hi All,
Is there a way to prep a filter out of REW to make it into a IEEE-754 bin file? MiniDSP can take small FIR filters but that's the only format it takes.
For bands below 120Hz (namely 30Hz which has the longest decay), I'm looking to try and roll my own Dirac ART to counter act that resonance using a speaker dedicating to cancel the problematic driver. I have 4 subs and will soon have 5. I can safely dedicate one with a MiniDSP to...
