REW install on Linux or windows ?

I have some of the same, so have a Win* VM inside Linux with Qemu - boots faster than native, and less likely to do damage if something gets into it. USB devices pass through transparently when I need a USB device based programming tool for my GPS gear, PROM programmers, etc. Best of hoth...

REW install on Linux or windows ?

If you install on Linux, your platform won't blow chunks :-). Seriously, audio config on Linux is pretty easy (and it doesn't fight back like Win), so pick what you prefer to use.

The Right To Repair Bill in the US.

I voted yes in that this seems clear - the ability to get repair at a lower cost will always reduce disposal. Parts availability is a non-issue, since the entire point of right to repair laws is parts availability to anyone, not just internal. This says nothing about part pricing, or...

    Time alignment?

Basically, furthest away from you (latest arrival) becomes the reference, and all others delay to match. If subs are equidistant from the listenjng position, then could be the same, if not . . . (and this also presents the issue of a large listening space, where distances vary drastically, so...

    Time alignment?

I'm talking about the physics, not the application. Many high end vendors over the years have tooted thier horns about using driver setback to align tweeter/mod/woofer on speakers (so, either marketing nonsense, or they think it is important . . . I always favored nonsense, overall, but did...

    Time alignment?

Depends on the space. In larger rooms with larger delays, the differences can be huge!

    Dual channel measurements

I dunno . . . I guess it has a lot to do with familiarity. I have been using SMAART, and by comparison, REW feels like a really dull blunt instrument . . . I am not, for instance, aware of any means to get response curves with REW using liive program material . . (among other things). I have...

Hisense RGB Triple Laser 4K HDT UST Projector System

*ANY* 3 chip DLP eliminates the color wheel and rainbowing - the light source does not matter! A single discharge lamp split into 3 beams with fixed r/g/b filters into 3 chips works just as well. (And 3 chip has been the standard for upper tier projectors for a *very* long time!)

    Resistive Load for Amp Testing

RF dummy loads and elrctrical transformers have been using oil for centuries. It's a non problem.

    Bass response

What are your settings in the DC-2? Before inserting anything else, I would look there closely, since there are a lot of things than can affect this. (I run a couple as well . . . checks of setup via SMAART show no inherent response oddities.) Program running? Speaker config? Crossover point...
