Hi,
i get a strange sweep, if i am using a Soundblaster Z (optical out) and a UMIK-2 or 1 if i am raising the samplerate > 44kHz:
The sweep plays too fast:at a time where it should reach approx 16kHz it is already fully played and it repeats then very fast a full sweep in the time for the last...
Hi John,
thank you - adding the delay and putting some basotect panels around and in front below of the mic did the trick with jumping and the huge phase-span.
This problem is solved!
About the inversion: i thought that wont be a problem for measurements of only one chassis ? But how can you...
Here are my two measurements with the same setup.
I already tried to deactivate USB sleep modus, but i get sometimes the jump in the phase anyways.
edit#1: and i tried java soundcard driver, too - no change
Hi John,
for measuring my speakers with time alignment i ordered a ECM8000 and i am using it on my Steinberg UR22MKII.
I made the following setup:
1. no loopbak in Steinberg`s ASIO driver with 48kHz, i switched phantom voltag ON
2. i plugged MIC into INPUT 1 and my amp in OUT 1
3. i made a...
Ok - didn`t thought about that. But if i am using the acoustic timing reference i dont`t get the 'time-of-flight' from different speaker chassis. This is calibrated out of the signal.
In my case i wanted to adjust the delay times for each of my three chassis to compensate in in my nanoshark...
Hi John,
in my setup i use an ordinary Realtek onboard Soundcard with line out and line in and a calibrated miniDSP UMIC-1 for acoustic measurement.
But with this setup i am not able to select my realtek soundcard input als loopback, because you offer this selection only for the chosen input...
Hi John, thank you!
Is there any chance to test a nightly build (as you just released a new beta and the next seems to come in July) ??
Anyways, i will try the older ASIO driver you are using, too - if i can find it...
SPo
Is there a possibility to adjust this delay in software ?
Because it is constant it would be easy to set it once and its done?
Maybe its because i`ve got several soundcards installed ? A Soundblaster, a miniDSP nanoshark USB driver, and a Realtek Driver... ?
...bunch of questions... :innocent...
