REW + USB interface loopback question

Thank you @Wayne A. Pflughaupt for clarifying about the cable. So for ID4 if I want to use DI interface for audio loopback I would just buy 1/4 Mono jack to 1/4 Mono jack and that would work as intended for Speaker Out to DI port? And would you say that gain mismatch and possible distortion...

REW + USB interface loopback question

I have just spoken with Audient about Id4 MK1 and they said that despite analogue loopback would work using DI port they don't feel it is a good option to use due to frequency shift on DI port and levels differences between speaker out and DI input sensitivity meant for guitar etc. In relation...

REW + USB interface loopback question

When I looked up what type of connections are these I learnt that Speaker Outs are balanced TRS and DI Instrument input is 1/4 mono jack. So I check for cables and this is what I found - which is TRS to 1/4 Instrument Cable. But it has 2 1/4 Jacks. I would obviously plug only one as I have only...

REW + USB interface loopback question

Thank you John for coming back to me. If I would get Id4 MK2, which allows to setup digital loopback via PC software - would that work as well with REW?

REW + USB interface loopback question

Hi All, I am trying to setup my USB interface to allow loopback as time reference with REW. I have Audient iD4 mk1 and I wonder if it is possible to set it up with analogue cable connecting some inputs and outputs to achieve analogue loopback to be used as time reference for REW and measuring...

Head of the Class: A Full Review of StormAudio's ISP 32 Analog MK2 Immersive Sound Processor

ATM 2x 13.7" sealed boxes but in process of building 4x 18" sealed. But I actually have two more 18" drivers sitting on the shelf so I might go crazy and go 6 with outlook of getting to 8 at later stage. Yes 20 channels is nice and also huge advantage of Trinnov is that warranty can be extended...

Head of the Class: A Full Review of StormAudio's ISP 32 Analog MK2 Immersive Sound Processor

Thank you Todd for getting back to me. I went with Storm C16 but changed my order yesterday to T16 after long and painful deliberation, so it is good to read that possibly WF can do better than DART as I read great things about DART, but I also read that it is more finicky than WF and unless it...

Head of the Class: A Full Review of StormAudio's ISP 32 Analog MK2 Immersive Sound Processor

I wonder if you ever had a chance to compare your MK2 vs Trinnov offerings, either in your room or somewhere else and if so what did you think? This is an open question to anybody that is interested in answering :) Thanks

    Earthworks M23R measuring mic

Thanks again mate for coming back to me. It turns out I already have interface (bought few years ago 2nd hand and forgot about it :D). It is Audient ID4 (mk1) so an older unit but probably good enough. Unfortunately the linked YT channel does not have a review of it.

    Earthworks M23R measuring mic

Would I be right that the below would be a problem with this interface: Frequency Response 20-20kHz ± 0.06dB (so that would be a bit of waste for such good mic and also taking into accounts that the idea is to measure subs going to single digits?) If so what other interface could you recommend...

    Earthworks M23R measuring mic

Hi All, Please excuse some novice questions to follow: 1. Would I be right that M23R will work with REW? 2. Would I be right that I will be able to import it's ECF file to REW? 3. As it is XLR mic - what other gear I would need to interface it to a laptop / PC (I assume mic amp, but anything...

    Two UMIK-1 mics?

Is the moving of the mic during measurement considered to be a better method? Or is the jury still out on that?

    Two UMIK-1 mics?

What I am also thinking about is rather than using them one in MLP and other in 2nd seat (only two seats that interest me). I could 3D print kind of matrix holder and have two of the Mics on it and possibly 3rd to kind of mimic the measuring method where you are supposed to move mic in circles...

    Two UMIK-1 mics?

Thank you John, When I think about it, would it be possible to run two REW instances one configured with each of the two Mics? That should ease the confusion after initial setup which will be a bit confusing with importing right cal files to right slots :D Thanks, seb

    Two UMIK-1 mics?

Hi All, I am wondering if it is possible to use two UMIK-1 mics with REW and a PC to speed up measurements? I know that there is licensed multi-mic version, which is not really meant for multi Umik-1 config but I wonder if I could have two of them in two different positions in the room and...
