It is, but I'm not aware of any Pre-Amps/AVRs/Dacs that support HDMI 2.1 and Auro-3D upmixing. If you know of any device, I'd love to hear it. At one point, I was close to buying a $10,000 used Trinnov processor. The thinking was, it will work for sure to EQ all my channels,, but I passed...
It's definitely Chrome's security getting in the way for those old .no links. After getting around that I was able to download 6.16 32 bit, and that version actually starts. So I'm gonna roll with that. I'm also down to help debug 6.17(both versions) if that would be helpful for devs(just let me...
*Update: I've got the 6.16 download link to work by copying the link address and pasting it into a new tab(middle click/open in new tab fails). To help debug, I've attached the exception that occurs when clicking the older links, but you can right click "copy link address" and paste to a new tab...
So, I downloaded 6.17, both 32bit and 64bit, but unfortunately neither works. I can't even get them to start. I've already dealt with UAC and Windows Defender.
Behavior is the same as 6.16 64bit. That is, after you click the .exe, the program asks you to select a version to try(2.0, Surround...
Last March I tried for months to get Audiolense working for my 7.2.4 channel system(mitchco was gonna do the calibration), but I eventually had to give up. I wasn't ever able to get a successful measurement. I tried with 3 different Windows 10 machines, and two different AVRs(Denon and Yamaha)...
Interesting, how are you getting the sound and video from your PC to your Marantz? What does your chain look like?
My Denon AVR has 7 HDMI inputs, but the only usb input seems to be on the front, and is labeled "USB Music". Switching to that input on the AVR, and I don't see USB Device as an...
I'll go pickup another USB cable today to play around
Are you using HDMI out?
Also, would you mind sharing a screenshot of your ASIO4All control panel. Given that I've tried 3 windows machines and 2 AVRs, I'm thinking the error has to do with the way I've installed and configured ASIO4All...
Anyone able to use ASIO4All successfully on a windows machine?
I tried a third windows machine today, and same "soundcard not supported" error. I also tried my HTPC on a different(Yamaha) AVR.
Further evidence that the problem is with ASIO4All. When using Roon, I normally use WASAPI, but I tried using ASIO4All today. It will play fine for 20 seconds or so, then start distorting horribly(louder than the music) for 3 or 4 seconds, and it will follow that sequence on repeat.
Ok, so after switching to "Pure Direct", I still experienced the same error.
However, after switching the playback device from "ASIO4All" to the "HDMI WASAPI output", I was able to start measuring with 1 sub(7.2 still gives me the previous "Sound Card not supported error"). However, checking...
Ok, I thought I had figured something out, but still no luck. I thought maybe I had to change the surround mode of my processor from Auro3D to Multi-Channel in, but I still get the same "sound card not supported" error.
@jrobbins50 what AVR surround setting do you use?
Could it be that my AVR...
