    OJ's Dual UXL-18 Sealed Build

Muzz, I'm poking at it a little here and there. I tweaked my EQ settings in REW a couple of weeks ago and uploaded the new set to the MiniDSP, and I think I made a small improvement. Just over the weekend I was playing with the graphs in the EQ again, and I think I have a new revision I'd like...

DIY Dayton Audio 18" Ultimax Sub Kit (UM18-22 and Denovo Flatpack)

Nice new subs, Sonnie! I'll be very interested in your impressions, after going through so many various sub types over the years. I hope these do the trick for you, at least until you order the 2nd pair.

    OJ's Dual UXL-18 Sealed Build

As mentioned above, I have now got the MiniDSP up and running, and I was able to use REW to generate the filters to import into the MiniDSP. I made one custom addition to boost a null, and things are sounding pretty great. One thing, however, that I did still need to fix was the fan noise from...

    OJ's Dual UXL-18 Sealed Build

Dennis, I'm uh... a bit late replying to this, I never saw the notice. I'm using the plain vanilla non-DSP iNuke, but I have thought about building some kind of LT with the MiniDSP. I haven't done that yet, though I did get it all set up, and I used the filters from REW to tweak it a little...

ASIO4ALL setup with Windows Surface tablet

Well, it seems like these are common issues with ASIO, HDMI, and varying hardware. I managed to get things to work by playing with (checking and unchecking) things in the REW preferences until they all showed at the right time. Don't know exactly what I did, but I got it working long enough to...

ASIO4ALL setup with Windows Surface tablet

Hmmmm... it appears I'm also having trouble getting REW to make the Umik go from "idle" to be the active device. I'm doing some reading on that now.

ASIO4ALL setup with Windows Surface tablet

Hi guys, I'm working on getting REW set up to measure and then tune my subs with a MiniDSP. I'm following the setup guide, and have installed ASIO4ALL, but when I get to part 7. in Step 3a (REW software configuration (ASIO and HDMI connections) I'm seeing something different than the guide...

    OJ's DIYSG HTM-12 Build

OK, I realize I am past overdue with some proper listening impressions. These have been resting in the basement since completion, which is going to be their future home whenever we get around to building the theatre. In the meantime, while I have still not given them some dedicated space and...

Power Sound Audio Has Created A New Flagship Subwoofer (S7201)

Well that's certainly imposing! I'm glad PSA wasn't too shy about size or weight, and just went for an overall killer product. I wonder what one of these would do to a normal listening room. I'd definitely love to experience it.

    OJ's Dual UXL-18 Sealed Build

Thanks guys! I am excited to have a pair of some REAL big boy subs (although I'm sure I'd get some minor arguments from the ported guys) that are definitely top tier equipment. Sonnie, I recently took delivery of a balanced 2x4, which is still in the box. Actually, I'll have to update my...

    OJ's Dual UXL-18 Sealed Build

I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Or, more precicely, a pair of 94.6 lb weights. Sub #2 is done and in its temporary home. I haven't had time to do any real testing, because it wasn't in place until well after the kids were asleep, but I tried out a few demo scenes...

    DIY? Electro-Voice 30w (x4)

I just had a vision... if you do manage to get your hands on a second pair of them, you could make a pretty sweet WMTMW speaker that would never fail to impress visually. Use a big 24" horn and a compression driver for the highs and you'd make the biggest offering from DIYSG look tiny by...

    OJ's Dual UXL-18 Sealed Build

Yep, @Sonnie for the win with GRK. I had a reference to them in my older "extended" thread but I guess it didn't make the redux version. I was very happy with these. Hopefully they'll hold nice and strong for a long time.

    DIY? Electro-Voice 30w (x4)

Peter, these will definitely make a fun project. I'd guess that they will be better suited to midbass than ULF, but I bet you could make some pretty serious MBM's out of them if you have the room. Any pics of the drivers, or are they still stashed away?
