I hear what you are saying, but my space is limited. So I would need a light one (only a couple lbs) and also one that had stereo preamp outs that would convert the Dolby digital to stereo. And also have pre outs for the surround channels. Plus it would need an optical out for LCR...
I just...
I was thinking source (DVD player) to tv, tv ARC out to minidsp, minidsp to sound bar.
Right now everything is source to tv, tv is ARC to sound bar. So very similar only I would add the dsp between tv and sound bar...
I may have figured out an option...

This hopefully if I read it right, would take the ARC from the TV, and allow me to go HDMI audio only into the miniDSP-HDA. Then HDMI out from that...
ok, so right now my soundbar is hooked to my TV using the ARC, works great.
BUT I would like to apply some room correction, AND I would like rear speakers (my sound bar can't), AND I would like a L and R output to feed my whole house system.
I found the nanoAVR HDA, and it looks like it will...
Hi,
I'm looking for a device that has room correction but also can work with ARC. I've been looking at the MiniDSP products, but I am told by their technical support that they don't support ARC.
What I would like is to take the ARC hdmi out from my tv, and run that into a device like the...
I am calibrating a room. I'm doing full range speakers. I have my target curve loaded. When I go to take my measurements, I need to use generic EQ since mine isn't listed. But can I limit the program to show me only 4 parametric EQ filters, and have it figure out the calibration off that...
OK! so I want to use the sweep. then use the EQ settings area to adjust my EQ as needed? If I do sweeps from 6 different locations, will the EQ settings area average the 6 locations to create its suggestion?
yeah, I'm probably describing it wrong. I read FFT takes readings based on Frequency and time, where old RTAs just read frequency? One software SMAART, I think you loop the generator signal back into the reading, so it can monitor the mic readings vs what is being generated and build a more...
Thanks for the reply! I just want to confirm also, the RTA, does that take FFT type readings, or is it like the readings I would get from my old RTA that doesn't account for reflections? Sorry if that question doesn't make sense, I'm new to the FFT
I am curious if I have the Behringer UMC202HD can the system take live readings from 2 locations and average them together on the fly? I think the SMAART software does this, and was just curious if REW did. Not a huge deal if not, just curious.
