BREAKING: Dirac Enters the Physical Retail Environment with HiFi Klubben Partnership

@Todd Anderson with all your contact in the industry do you think that Marantz performs all their programming (including Dirac integration) in house like Storm which could give them an advantage similar to StormAudio's in terms of more reliable Dirac results in their receivers?

BREAKING: Dirac Enters the Physical Retail Environment with HiFi Klubben Partnership

I first became interested in Dirac in 2014 after purchasing Antimode to try to learn how to control the bass on my 8-inch PSB subwoofer in a little 5.1 Yamaha receiver home cinema system.. I have adjusted my budget to be able to benefit from this software via a miniDsp nanoAvr-DL. For obvious...

Is Dirac the frog who aspired to become as big as the ox?

One year later I am starring in Groundhog day. Thanks to the lessons learned during the Umik-2 adventure It's impossible for me to wrap my head around the fact that the «pop» sound I hear since 2022 in the front speaker didn't exist from the start when the Harman Luxury technician wrote to me...

my version is 5.31.3 . I should have mentionned it. No big deal.

REW Beta Release REW API beta releases

Hi John, I am again trying to prove that Arcam can't implement Dirac in their receivers. Today I see that in the info of REW measurement. My laptop is on Win11 and the info shows Win10. What do I miss? I can sleep with that but just in case it could be important against Harman Luxury...

REW Beta Release REW API beta releases

I had the exact same problem as long as I was with Win10. Now in Win 11 I have the same 5.1 system and I can choose channel 5-6 or 7-8 for surrounds (if this help!) The weird thing is with Win 10 or Win 11 if REW is open with the receiver disconnected, Front left and Front right name return to L...

What could be causing this spike at 60Hz?

For those it may concern also it seems that Dirac much prefers a 48kHz active input connection when measuring than an analogue 44.1kHz.

REW Beta Release REW API beta releases

Stupid question here: Is API REW version means that we don't need a hdmi cable between the laptop and the avr?

    and help! Thanks.

What could be causing this spike at 60Hz?

Hi sir, final report. I returned the laptop to get an other one. Umik-2 + good usb connection + setting 2channels 24 bits 48000Hz inWin11 works like a charm! Thanks It confirms dead of the old mic! BTW DLBC can reverse polarities of the satellites! Dirac measurements confirmed the fact that my...

What could be causing this spike at 60Hz?

It was after 9 points measurements. Didn't trust it. I did an other run (I forgot to print screen mic level. I had -6.5dB for the loudest speaker and set it the same trim with the subs sliders and I turn up the vol in amp plate of the subs to get 5dB above the 24,9dB level of the others...

What could be causing this spike at 60Hz?

Flax said yesterday to set Umik-2 sample rate at 48KHz for Dirac so now 2 channels 24 bits 48KHz new round with those mic levels: (followd markus767 melhau mic level to the T sub slider match the loudest speaker) and I turn up amp plate subs level to get 4 dB higher than others Here...

What could be causing this spike at 60Hz?

It is why you see -16.9dB in sub channels for the same slider leve as the satellites at -5.0dB. Maybe you will find interesting to know tha with the old Umik-1 for more than 3 years of DLBC calculations, I always have had th following default target curve: And with Umik-2 and all others...
