I know when the issue will occur as I loose osd overlay so the next power cycle will cause no sound unless I unplug the unit. Edit: I turned off osd and see if its incompatibility issues with my projector and I have sent emails to gibbys ( the retailer ) and gentec-intl ( onkyo's warranty )...

To me it's a power bug effecting the hdmi board . When the unit discharges ( power removed ) . It resets and works. I can add it to a smart plug to cut the power but that is only a temp solution.
