Does Changing An Amplifier Mean I Have To Remeasure Everything?

I would check the spec sheet and determine if the amplifiers gain is the same between your existing amp and the new model. If there is a gain difference you need to retest.

    Wireless Subwoofer

If it’s behind you, place mic facing sub from listening position ear height. I don’t ever use ceiling facing. SVS SVS SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter https://www.svsound.com/blogs/subwoofer-setup-and-tuning/how-to-set-up-a-wireless-subwoofer good for 65ft

    Wireless Subwoofer

Yes, because the impulse response is going to be off by quite a bit, manually move them closer together

    Wireless Subwoofer

Yes on two small systems with LS-50 wireless II. bought two wireless transmitter receiver kits. Everything works well. The key is to determine the delay to the subwoofer which is long because of the wireless transmission of the sub signal. Then have Audiolense align all the drives to the...

Which microphone to choose to take measurements with Audiolense ??? THANKS

Hi John I started with Umik1 but soon realized it’s performance as a calibrated microphone was less than desirable. So I moved to a professional mic .. Problem with Save Filter in AL 6.20

Sure …When saving filter, AL would ask you to choose the sample rate to support. I usually select the all of them to try with HLC: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192kHz, 352.8kHz, 384kHz for Roon and zip. During the filter writing process AL doesn’t complete the process. The application gets stuck...

Problem with Save Filter in AL 6.20

I’m have the same problem with saving my filters with 6.20. I was told that the glitch was solved with 6.21. The application crashes. When I select just two sample rates 48 and 96 kHz it finishes. When I unzip the file there are two 48khz .CFG and two 96khz files? Advice pls ?

    Gain loss from filter generation

Why not set your gains up at the Std 0 db across the board. If you have a multi meter you could set it such that preamp and amp gives you max gain without clipping .. then you won’t be leaving head room on the table

Sound card & microphone fixes (Moderated thread)

This is good to know! I would also say that when there is a mismatch ( delay) the first thought is the signal chain in computer is the problem. Not always the case I’ve had two systems where Audiolense found a hardware problem. I had just rebuilt passive 4 way JBL L250 xover and the software...

macOS convolver that works with Audiolense

If I understand you correctl, yes I’m developing Audiolense filters FIRs for multiple systems …. Saving them in Roon file format and handing them to Hang Loose convolver on my Mac Mini … works awesome !! Mitch’s program is awesome for gain matching and no delay in switching filters
