Made some headway yesterday. Changed out hdmi cable from the Vertex to Projector to newer shorter cable and got the ROKU to see a DV device, used the stock Sony EDID setting and got a decent picture. Now the fun begins. Need to figure out how to tweak the EDID files. Any ideas on this?

yes... I am looking. Today I messed with the Vertex again. I was able to get the Roku to see the Dolby Vision display, but everything was a total fiasco. I got really psychedelic colors. Tried a few different settings, but eventually just went back to Straight HDR. Not sure if it is the settings...

Mechman, thankyou for the quick response. The Sony The X800 is not the M2 version, so i am out of luck there. The shield is the 2017 gen 2 version, so i think i am out of luck there too, so the Roku maybe the only DV capable source i have at the moment.. Once i can get the HDFury to report a DV...
