I must be missing something here. I would think that when a large company or organization suddenly makes a shocking announcement, they’d give some kind of idea/description about the technology used to get people to start buying into it right away. I got the impression Shenzhen didn’t do that...
I like the Auro upmixer too but I'm finding the "Strength" less and less appealing the more I listen. I keep turning it further down. I'm down to 3 now. Haven't tried it on movies yet.
FargateOne, if you live in the US, whenever you use any type Auro you'll be using an upmixer as Auro isn't used by US based movie, TV, or recording studios (at least that I know of).
Whenever upmixing, it doesn't mean it only upmixes to 7.3.6. It can upmix into numerous different combinations...
Good to know. Thanks. For custom cables I've been going through Blue Jeans Cable. They carry good name brand stuff like Canare and Belden. They don't have as large of a selection as some other places, but their turn-around time on custom stuff is very fast. Got my last order in just 3 business days.
It may be competitively priced, but that means they're all overpriced. I'd be willing to bet they'd make more profit if they cut the price in half because they'd sell more than twice as many. Too bad we'll never find out.
Totally agree. It's great that it's an option, and glad we're not forced to pay for it in a higher purchase price. Although I'm not impressed with Audyssey, it's better than nothing.
Thanks for the update Todd. I hate to be a party poop here, but Diracs' pricing isn’t within reason. I’ve already spent thousands buying my AV10 (haven't finished hooking it up yet), and now Dirac wants me to spend another $800 to cover the full spectrum and the subs?! Like Al would say on Tool...
