    Delays and Simulation

Great, so only tweeter left and right. And can you remind me how I check my step response and pre-ringing after generating a filter. Can't remember if I go into analysis measurement or analysis simulation?

    Delays and Simulation

I know delays have to be within a ms of each other, however that is from left to right. What would be an acceptable delay on the measurements between tweeter and bass? Are these delays acceptable? And does going into analysis measurement- step response measurement bring up the initial...

    Delays

This is better yeh, and an okay impulse response?(this is after correction)

    Delays

Okay i think the polarity was off, thanks. But the fact that they do not overlap each other, I mean literally sitting on top of each other is that okay?

    Delays

Ok, great thanks. And can you remind me if this is a normal impulse response. The red starts inverted to the blue... Is it normal that right and left are not on top of each other?

    Delays

I've just moved and have to make new filters. Have been thoroughly enjoying my sound system but have to get back into it in order to get some decent correction. More, so I have to remember how to do things. In a simple stereo measurement what should the delay be between left and right?

Using REW for general octave band analysis/sound transmission loss

Great thanks so much for this. I knew it was basic. One more question does REW provide an Octave Band Analysis or do we just get the db at exactly each frequency rather than a computed dba summation of the Octave band? I'm presuming i need a sound meter for that right?

Using REW for general octave band analysis/sound transmission loss

The button above the graph? Can yo please be a little more specific? Usually, you press the start button to start a sweep, in this case where do I go to capture the pink noise.

Using REW for general octave band analysis/sound transmission loss

Apologise if the heading isn't correct but I just want to use REW in a room where there is a night club upstairs. I want to measure the full range frequency to see the the transmission loss through the ceiling. If the above sound system plays sweep or generic live white noise, and I have REW on...

reinstalled windows and now I got some crackling

Usually on Hangloose if it crackles it is buffer size issue and I have fixed the issue with buffer size with my tri amp system as well in the past so I do suspect it could be culprit. However it is already on the 2048 in the minidsp UAC2 control panel. Shall I try a smaller buffer size and if so...

reinstalled windows and now I got some crackling

I have a standard 3 way Audiolense XO tri amp set up and after reinstalling windows I now have some crackling that comes and goes. I used to get this if pitch and tempo was left on in JRiver and with a few tweaks it would go away. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be...?

Does Changing An Amplifier Mean I Have To Remeasure Everything?

My apologies just read the spec sheet and apparently the phase doesn't change in BTL mode...

Does Changing An Amplifier Mean I Have To Remeasure Everything?

Yes, these amps are tranparent. I just thought the phase maybe played a role when switching to BTL mode.... Thanks.... This is good news.

Does Changing An Amplifier Mean I Have To Remeasure Everything?

My limited understanding is that with the Hypex amplifiers in BTL you have to invert one side of the wiring which will put the two amplifier channels out of phase. Does this mean that my woofers will be out of phase?

Does Changing An Amplifier Mean I Have To Remeasure Everything?

I might, switch my amp to my mid woofer(midrange) in my tri-amp system from a Hypex NC502MP to a NC122MP in BTL. Does that have detrimental affect on impulse repsonse or group delay or any other factor inlfuencing sound? Regarding gain, I am not too fussed as I often switch the gain from the...
