Journalism and academia are very different worlds: journalists believe Nothing, and academics with believe Anything as long as it's peer-reviewed. This Difference made my life exciting, and handed several therapists a lot of money over the years.
I love movies. I love orchestral music. I love ELO and ELP and My Brightest Diamond and Paul Simon and Ricardo Muti and Christine and the Queens, as well as the words of Miss Millay, Mr. Auden, Mr.Yeats, Miss Levertov, and Mr. Hardy.
