IEMs, have you tried them, and what do you think?

I've tried headphone/speaker DSP once, Sonnie and Wayne heard it, too. Was very convincing and even more impressive was that the focus was surround sound. First we listened to a speaker array, some type of measurement was done that is specific to the individual listening, then the headphones...

Mach 5 IXL 18.4 Driver not putting out like it once did?

Hello. I have one of those subs waiting for a build out. Glad you solved the output problem. As for placement, I'm gonna guess by looking at your gear and the DIY project that you know at least the basics to getting the Mach 5 to perform. Do you have REW capability? Big help there, that's...

Behringer EP4000 for Sub Amp and Fan Mod vs Dayton SA1000 Sub Amp

I wouldn't worry too much about damping factor, most amps do fine, in that regard. Pay more attention to the load (impedance). Asking too much from a bridged amp can cause problems.

Adding a Subwoofer to a 2-channel audio system in a large complex space

I have two new SB-3000s and will be adding a third, for room smoothing purposes. My application is different than yours and my room is much smaller. If I were to use a single sub in your space, I'd step to a ported enclosure. I do understand that the size constraint is outside of your want.

I've seen floor-to-ceiling corner traps made of recycled blue jeans cotton. The guy is a stickler for measurements, so I imagine he found the material worthy.

July 2021 Get Together at Cedar Creek Cinema - Speaker Evaluation

@JStewart , I also have a small/medium-sized room and am about 16" off the sidewalls, in my last home and my recent, latest space. I very recently tried the time-intensity trade off with the 210RTs and... WOW! That helped so much with off-axis listeners/viewers, without impacting on-axis as...
