Update @serko70 @John Mulcahy . I just ran Neuron 2.0 with REW Beta 68 (set to maximum 1000 measurements) and it worked without any issues with all of the 224 measurements! Thank you both for your fantastic work.
Ok. Well, somehow I managed to get the v 1.3 script to run after many tries. One time only though.
The 224 measurements are independent. 16 mic positions in a 7.2.6 system.
Ok. It's two .ady files that I convert to .txt files (112 files each) using the script and then upload to REW, so they should be seen as a single set of measurements.
I did a bit of testing and found that I was able to run the script with half the number of measurements (one .ady file = 112 measurements, instead of two .ady files combined into 224 measurements). Seems like REW just stops responding when I load 224 measurements.
I have problems with REW V5.40 Beta 65 (and possibly other iterations, haven't tried as I'm bound to the latest beta). When I open up my 224 measurements, REW becomes very slow, and when running OCA's new Neuron script (which utilizes REW's API) I keep getting "Network response not OK" (see...
Interesting. Worth a try!
I am considering it for a number of reasons. This just gave me another one.
I don't know. If XTZ says they can improve it, I'm willing to try.
Quick update with some interesting info:
I reached out to both XTZ, Denon, Audyssey and Dirac to ask about these delay and delay setting issues.
Firstly, XTZ responded that they actually have a new firmware for my subs' DSP chip that improves the delay, so I will send them my plate amps for a...
Thank you. Strange that we got different SPL offsets. I tried 5 octaves around 1000 Hz, gave me different results.
I hope Denon/Marantz will fix this, should be a priority. Wonder if the same limit applies to Dirac in the 2023/2024 lineup.
Sorry, it's the same acoustic reference, but the RAW...
I'm trying to replicate what you did. Following you tutorial, I ran "Align SPL" and added the SPL offset after first having cross-corr aligned and vector averaged each speaker's measurements. I did this for the speakers separately, and the subwoofers separately. This is all in the .mdat file I...
Got it. An unexpected but important discovery :)
Tha actual distance of SBL is about 3,71 m and SLA is 2,60 m.
Is there a benefit of measuring the speaker distances with REW, or might it be better to do it by hand with a laser?
