I've never known foam to help much... nor a single door of any kind. I use two doors, and it absolutely works. I'm not sure how easy that would be in your situation. I don't have any issues with the way my doors open, and I have 8.5" thick walls.

Wow... that is definitely odd-looking there. It's a good thing that Costco is going to swap it out for you, which I would only expect in this case. I just hope it's not the same with the others, and Sony shipped them a run of bad units.

Yep... my first thought is SVS, and buy at least two and place them in the opposite front/back corners... four if you can afford it, for each corner. Then let your auto-eq do the smoothing, although if you do four, you may have to run the two front on one output and the two rear on the other...

Kaleidescape might be an option if you also like to stream movies too. It wouldn't be worth it just for concerts. A little on the expensive side, but I like it.

I have a MacBook, and it's a bit different from my PC. Make sure REW is actually set to use the MOTU M2 as the input device (Preferences → Soundcard), and that you’re not using an aggregate device in Audio MIDI Setup (cmd+space and type Audio MIDI and open that app - you'll see all the mics...
