I used to be a skeptic like AJ, but then I got my new Signia hearing aids. Now that I’ve basically got a DSP-corrected NASA uplink in my ear canals, 48k sounds like a transistor radio in a dumpster. If it isn't 96k, my hearing aids actually send an automated apology letter to the manufacturer...

It's not nearly as mad as Family Firearms here. We are only shipping out about 750-1000 packages per month here. We were hitting 2000-2500 at Family Firearms. We are not buying in as much. Now... our distributors also dropship around 1000 packages per month directly to the customer's FFL or...

I don't know that there would be any published data on the capable resolution of either unit. Dirac used to show available/used filters during processing, but not any longer, that I've noticed. I would suggest that if they have implemented ART, they've allocated sufficient headroom to handle it...

Nice... but 16 channels just doesn't work for me... especially if I am going to take full advantage of ART with multiple subs and Atmos with 4-6 overhead speakers. No Roon? To the guillotine it goes!!!

I would definitely be wary of their durability in storage, but under normal living conditions in a home, I would think the newer ones would be safe for many years. My guess is there are replacement options.
