I try to be as easy to understand as possible, IMHO the absence of corelation of the phase and the frequency response traces at this level of learning will be a problem in the next step of comprehension.
You can't fix this now, but you should perhaps understand that theses artefacts are generating very deep notches in the frequency reponse and you don't see them in the graph that you've shown because the trace don't have enough resolution.
IMHO the ability to center the traces on a user defined frequency is perhaps useful.
Here is the traces of my measurements on 42° :
And when i center the traces on 2500Hz, the directional breakup is very visible.
Hello,
In the overlays windows there is a little button that is useful to separate the traces
Is there any possibility to supperpose them, please?
Here is a directivity breakup analysis with two measurements (0° and 30°)
It should be really usefull IMHO.
Thanks for your answer.
My microphone position should be more precise, few centimeters of microphone offest is becoming few milimeters of emissive point offset when the loudspeakers are at one meter.
The measurement was at 6000Hz, i've performed another measurement at 1000Hz and the mid-range...
Hello,
I've measured a loudspeaker and the tweeter impulse is 500µS faster than the medium impulse, could you help me please ?
The physical offset (face plate) of the tweeter is 21mm (closer) and the measured 14mm offset difference seems very credible to me.
The red impulse (medium)
Delay...
The measurements are averaged ?
How many ?
Why don't you use CSD in order to locate ringings, and judge the real effect of the treatements ?
There are peaks of 20dB of amplitude under 200Hz and peaks of 10dB of amplitude over 200Hz, you ears should bleed !
To be honest, i'm a tad dubitative about you methodology... and about "raw 027" measurements, the traps seems to have no effect at all on the FR amplitude.
Hello,
At first you should make a drawing of your room (horizontal and vertical), your loudspeakers (size and position of each emitting points on the two drawings) and you listening area (also on the two drawings).
Then perform a vertical and horizontal matrix measurement batch in order to make...
Your idea is a fundamental physics challenge, you need a staff and a lab, but the future is coming : https://phys.org/news/2012-08-metamaterials-device-focuses-camera-lens.html
My paradigm about the quality of a desing is resumed by the number of parameters taken in account, so i would be...
Personally i will consider every desing if the designer is able to defend his technical choices with bullet proof technical arguements and i often stay open because i can make an error (and i don' want)
I'm not against you and neither with you, you make your technical choices and if they perform...
I really like these diffusers, they are beautiful.
As we are in the hi-fi domain i consider that some strange dispersions as a technical choice... in a vast spectrum of parameters (everything is defendable if well argumented especially in small reverberant rooms)
A waveguide is not really...
