I guess with all the wave guide, room refraction, room dressing arguments one would think the boom arm and stand would do the same. I was planning on buying a cheap $20 stand with a boom arm for the umik1 but if the small stand sitting on some boxes on the couch does just as good then I won't...

I'm still waiting for my RZ50 order to ship from AvScience. I just purchased a umik 1 while I wait. Should the mic stand be placed behind the couch with mic boom extended out forward to listening position? I've seen some pics of new RZ50 owners using a mic stand between the mic and speakers...

I know the RZ50 is also 1"deeper and taller due to a bigger chassis used as well.

It says 9.2 and "•5.2.4-ch/7.2.2-ch Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X playback " so It powers 9 channels. Their are no preouts on the 7100 for the USA model. If you want preouts you'll need to buy up to the RZ50.

Yeah, the 5100 was only $100 over original CES price while the 7100 is now $200 over. Seems pretty evident now that the RZ50 is going to be $100 to 200 over the CES price here in the states.

I just emailed them and they took my information for the preorder. They are an Authorized Onkyo dealer. They will not charge you until it ships.

Wouldn't that make it a 2022 model? ... I really hope they start showing up for pre order next month.

I will be running 5.2.2 so the specs of the RX-A4A (2021) seem to meet my needs as does the RZ50 and Integra 3.4 -Preouts -100w+ -hdmi2.1 I've just been burned on the whole RTX3080 debacle so I want to preorder something before supply is gone and everyone's waiting 2yrs for a new receiver.

Hmm, Not sure how competitive the RZ50 will be at those prices when the Yamaha RX-A4A is now $100 less and available for preorder since the beginning of the month.

Since the NR5100 was originally announced as having a $499 MSRP but now it's showing an MSRP of $599 on onkyo usa's Web page. I'm going to assume that the rest of the line is going to also be $100 or higher MSRP when they are released. This will put the TX-RZ50 in the $1300 - $1400 range after...

Anyone know If the Voxx / Onkyo deal was completed today? I didn't see anything on their webpage

I will be tuned in, I hope we get more information on actual preorders and shipping dates but I'm thinking they will just be going over the new Klipsch modes, and features they added recently. :popcorn:
